Communicate Effectively On-Camera
Intro
We partnered with Thom McFadden (a Hollywood actor and professional acting coach) to create this course. He shares our belief that every business communication has a purpose; videos are no exception. The information Thom is about the reveal to you will improve the results you get from your videos ten-fold and your communication skills in general.
In less than 10 minutes total (for ALL of the modules), you will have a set of tools that you can use to communicate effectively on camera.
This lesson sets the stage for the subsequent ones. Thom gives you a brief overview of who he is and what the course is about.
Actor/Life Coach Thom McFadden has been featured in many movies. He has guest starred in over 100 television shows. Thom is called the “Coach to the stars.” He has guided actors, writers, producers, directors and hundreds of other industry professionals to realize their full potential, and this time he’s guiding you!
Now that you have the scoop, advance to the next “acting for real” lesson from Thom.
Lesson 2
What holds most people back from producing videos is some form of camera anxiety. It’s all too easy to say to yourself “I’ll send a video next time,” or go into a downward spiral of multiple takes (re-shooting a video many times).
In this module, Thom reveals a simple system to get in the right frame of mind to craft a video.
Now that you have a formula to overcome any camera anxiety you may have, move forward to the next module which explains the 6 components of human behavior.
Lesson 3
When you understand the components of a system, you can combine them to create your own recipe of success.
In this module, Thom breaks down the 6 components of human behavior.
Now that you understand the 6 components of human behavior, it is time to learn how to reveal your humanities.
Lesson 4
The single most important element of an effective video is PASSION (and getting it to come through on camera).
In this module, Thom will give you some simple tips to reveal your humanities in your videos.
You now have a formula that you can use to create effective videos every time. If you are feeling adventurous, check out the bonus module.
Bonus
p>Dave Kaminski has saved my bacon on more than one occasions. I learned the technical skills of producing and publishing video from Dave, which are quite different from using video emails in our software (which is push-button simple).
In this video, Dave explains the “3 Keys to Success with Web Video.”
