Using the Post Link Function

The Post Link function has five different categories of code that you can use depending on where you want to insert your video. Let’s go over them one-by-one.

Post Link Menu

Looking at the numbers next to each box of code:
postlink1
1) This is a block of HTML that generates a simple hyperlink with the text “Please click here to view the video”. You can change that text to say whatever you want.
Most commonly used in: websites

postlink2

2) Links to your video playing in the default template.
Most commonly used in: emails, websites, PDFs, word docs, exit links

*Note* To generate a video URL that plays in a different template from your default, simply email the video to yourself in the proper template. You can use the URL for the video you get in your inbox.

postlink3

3) This is the direct path to your video on our servers. We don’t recommend putting this on your website or in your emails, as it bypasses your video template and exit links.
Most commonly used on: custom coded video players

postlink4

4) Embeds the video on a website. Just copy and paste the HTML into your web page and you’re good to go.
Most commonly used on: websites, blogs, squeeze pages, landing pages

postlink5

5) This chunk of HTML looks very similar to what the jiveSYSTEMS email notifications look like. You can paste this into the HTML source of your emails
Most commonly used on: emails, email marketing systems, CRM.
