3 Simple Steps to Make Money Marketing with Video Email

The benefits of successfully integrating video email into your marketing practices are significant to say the least.  Below, I have listed a sort of roadmap to making money through the incorporation of video email into your marketing practices.  The same steps apply to web video in general.

Step 1 – Assess Your Marketing Strategy:

If you don’t first have a solid foundation for your marketing efforts, the addition of any tool will be a waste of time.  So what is required for a solid marketing foundation?  Three things: understand the value you provide customers, refine this understanding into a consistent and simple message, and then select the proper channels so that you message reaches the ears of your target market.  If you are already doing this, great!  If not, don’t fret.  A solid foundation requires some work, but it is attainable!

To sum it all up in three words: Understand, Craft, Communicate.

Step 2 – Create Evergreen Videos:

I will start by defining evergreen videos.  As the name implies, evergreen videos are reusable videos that you record one time and then reuse over and over again.  If done properly (and this is rather simple to do) you’ll be able to replace a lot of repetitive conversations with these videos; impressing clients and maximizing the efficiency with which you’re able to work at the same time.   So think about it; what videos do you need to record?  For starters, you need an introduction video to let prospects get to know a little bit about you.  Then you might want to make a bio video explaining more about yourself, your company, and your values.  You’ll definitely want a first-touch video to use as a follow-up to a first phone call.  What better way to put a face to the name than with a video email in their inbox?

Let’s recap, you now have little video clone versions of yourself making introductions for you, telling prospects more about your values and qualifications, and following-up on every phone call you make or receive with a prospect.  In other words, you now have more time to do other things; relax, work on other projects, talk with more prospects, or develop a phenomenal marketing strategy.

Step 3 –Nurture Client and Prospects:

The next step is as powerful as it is simple.  Show customers and prospects that you care.  Do you already take time to do this?  If not, start doing so today.  Remember, it’s not what you say so much as what you do.  Actions build relationships that will stand the test of time.

Whether you use a CRM system or simply a calendar to track important dates (birthdays, business milestones, etc), you can start by remembering these events and acknowledging them.  Now add video for an even greater impact.  “Wow,” not only did they remember my birthday, but the CEO sent me a video birthday greeting.”  The result is a happy customer who feels special, and when you make someone feel special they’ll come back for more.

There you have it.  These three (3) simple steps allow you to reduce your workload while simultaneously better serving customers.  The end result becomes obvious; happy customers come back for more, impressed prospects not only hire you, they tell their friends, and once your prospects become customers, they stick around.  And to top it all off, you are achieving all of these benefits with less effort and in less time.

So what will you do with your extra time and money?  I’m going to got out to dinner with my friends.  Until next time, “Cheers.”
