The Fringe Benefits of Esoteric Words

Would you like to join an elite club of great minds? The information I am about to present to you is exceedingly simple. So simple that it is easy to overlook the massive impact it can have on your life.

A large vocabulary is a strong indicator of your education level and/or capacity to think.

Using esoteric words appropriately is the secret to connecting with like-minded individuals, fast, far superior to any fraternity or secret society handshake.  Esoteric words are also one of the keys to unlocking your potential for creative thought.

Let’s start with clarifying what “esoteric” means:
1) a. Intended for or understood by only a particular group.
b. Of or relating to that which is known by a restricted number of people.
2) a. Confined to a small group.
b. Not publicly disclosed; confidential.

Every new word you add to your repertoire gives you the ability to communicate the idea associated with it, or quite simply just understand it better. It is these new concepts that give you more information from which to formulate your desires. These magical words enhance your creative thought process.

While undergoing your metamorphosis use your new words wisely. The use of esoteric words can easily backfire and cause a number of negative repercussions.

The key is to use esoteric words sparingly to convey complex ideas to individuals or groups that are on the same wave length as you. A single well placed word in a conference call or meeting will alert the right people to your presence without registering on anyone else’s radar. Pretty cool, huh?

It really is that simple! I recommend you read this article several times, and contemplate the value of the information presented, specifically how you can apply it to benefit your life now and in future situations.

Here is the basic list I prepared for myself after having my epiphany:

  1. Learn at least one esoteric word per day.
  2. Practice using the word in regular conversation with a family member or friends for that day; this will most likely make them laugh, and help you get comfortable saying it.
  3. Envisage several situations where you could use the word in a business conversation.
